The watch is as described but the band is not very good, you can't have it cut or adjusted to make is smaller for your wrist if you have a smaller wrist and the clasp isn't the strongest. if you are planning to buy this watch maybe choose a leather band or a band that is adjustable. I like this particular model because the watch case is slim and low profile. I bought the Ladies model because it's a more reasonable size -- it looks restrained. The chain link band is nicer than I expected, it's very light and makes the watch a bit more dressy. Overall this is a light, slim watch that I enjoy using but barely notice wearing.Fantastic watch! The strap is very adjustable, the face is extremely readable (even in low light conditions), and it keeps very accurate time. My only complaint is that its not an auto, but that would make it much much thicker which kinda defeats the purpose of the watch.Modified, thin and light weight, very nice design. However when it's arrived, the battery was run out so I had to go to watch-smith to replace the battery. About $20 extra dollars needed. Therefore I gave 3 stars. If the battery is full, I would give 5 stars. :PNice watch, looks great. Band is easily adjustable for a perfect fit. I'll get a lot of enjoyment out of this one.I loved my Mondaine Ladies watch purchased last March. It worked perfectly & kept excellent time until 2 months ago when I noticed it was losing approximately 5 mins per week. Very frustrating when I discovered it was not the battery!Anyway, I contacted Amazon who gave me excellent customer service. I had a new watch within 3 days. No quibbles.So Amazon get 10/10 for customer service but Mondaine - well the jury is still out. Ill see how it goes but I do love the design & elegance of the watch. Mondaine's USP is the accuracy of their watches so its disappointing but I'm willing to give them another tryI've now had this watch with the leather strap and this with the metal strap. They both have their merits and very few weaknesses. I prefer the metal strap but that's just a personal preference. The strap is a little tricky to resize but once you know how its a doddle.Don't open it from the side with the bar - it will bend. Open it from the other side and get something thin underneath it (nail file?) and lever it downwards.Hope this helps. I have had to change the battery this year.....Estaba buscando un reloj para regalar a mi padre, el cual es un señor de edad avanzada, con problemas de vista y algo "maniático" en lo que concierne al grosor de los relojes y a los brazaletes. Partiendo de lo anterior, mis condicionantes eran que el reloj debía ser de cuarzo, lo más delgado posible, con brazalete metálico (de malla, a poder ser) y cuya esfera no fuese demasiado grande pero fácil de leer.Tras mucho buscar (y descartar modelos de Skagen -por minimalistas- y de Tissot 0,45 -por esfera excesivamente grande-), encontré que Mondaine ofrecía una gama muy amplia de tamaños partiendo siempre siempre de su clásico diseño de esfera "ferroviario".Como la cantidad de modelos con ligeras variantes es muy grande y puede llegar a ser confusa, me descargué de la página web de Mondaine el catálogo para poder comparar y elegir con calma. Finalmente el modelo escogido es de la gama "Simply", ya que al tener una caja ligeramente más redondeada que los de la gama "Classic" creo que puede resultar más cómodo de vestir. Su brazalete de malla milanesa es también fácil de ajustar, y la esfera de 36 milímetros es perfecta para los amantes de los relojes de tamaño contenido, al tiempo que resulta legible incluso a más de un metro de distancia, gracias a su diseño limpio y contrastado. Como colofón, el cristal de zafiro es un "plus" frente a las rayaduras típicas del uso cotidiano.Si tuviese que buscarle algún punto mejorable -que no negativo- es lo escaso de su resistencia al agua: 3 bares es lo justo para resistir las salpicaduras al lavarse las manos, a poco que envejezcan las juntas de la tapa y la corona, y ésta es la única razón por la que no le doy las 5 estrellas (aunque con justicia y a falta de ver el resultado que da, podría decirse que tiene 4,5 estrellas).I am more than pleased with the quality and style of this ladies watch. It is very easy to read the time and stylish at the same time.
